Theme Docs

This page will cover everything necessary to use this theme to it's full potential.

The theme can be used by selecting Echo Framework - Chameleon in page settings.

Actions

  1. Pages - Provides instructions on making new pages.
  2. Sections - Provides instructions on making or converting new sections.
  3. Banners - Provides instructions on making and managing banners in sections.

Please note that as this theme gets updates, details of these docs can change.

Pages

Adding a New Page

  1. Using the control panel at the top of the page, click on the "Add" button in "Page Functions".
  2. Fill out the "Page Name", "Position" Child Of one of the sections in the drop down like if you wanted a child page of Benefits, you'd tell it "Child Of" "Benefits".
  3. Change the "Skin" by clicking on the blue text next to the "Skin" label and selecting "Host", then in the drop down select "EchoFramework - Chameleon Inner".

Adding a New Section

  1. Using the control panel at the top of the page, click on the "Add" button in "Page Functions".
  2. Fill out the "Page Name", "Position" Child Of one of the sections in the drop down like if you wanted a child page of Benefits, you'd tell it "Child Of" "Benefits".
  3. Change the "Skin" by clicking on the blue text next to the "Skin" label and selecting "Host", then in the drop down select "EchoFramework - Chameleon", then click on the Template drop down and select "Section Design Template". Now click the "Add" button.
  4. Then click on the "Settings" in "Page Functions", then click on "Advanced Options", then "Advanced Settings" tab and in the "Page Header Tags" enter in this line of code:

Switch to a Dark Section

  1. On a newly created Section, on the control panel at the top of the page, click on "Settings" in "Page Functions", then click on the "Advanced Options" link at the bottom of the dialog box.
  2. Click on the "Advanced Settings" tab and in the "Page Header Tags" enter in this line of code:

  3. Click "Update Page"

Adding a New Callout

  1. Find the label in the top right of the banner called "Right click here to edit callouts" and right click on it, then click on Edit Links.
  2. You will be presented with a dialog box that has an interface for adding callouts.
  3. Click on "Add New Image Link" and in the Name box you can write down what you want the callout to say. Then in the Alternate Text you can write the coordinates for the callout (ex. 20px 0 0 -100px) these numbers represent "top, right, bottom, and left margins" so if there is a higher value for right your callout will move to the left more.
